***registration deadline is Friday, April 11th! Sign up today!!!***

(February 3, 2003) Norman Shaw announced in the Fall 2002 edition of The Sultana Remembered that the next Sultana reunion will be held April 25th and 26th, 2003 in historic Memphis, TN. The event is being organized by Jerry Potter (author of The Sultana Tragedy) with the assistance of Pam Newhouse and Mr. Shaw.

On Friday, April 25th, Sultana displays will be set-up and in the evening author Gene Salecker will make a presentation on the sabotage theory concerning the disaster. Mr. Potter will then join Mr. Salecker in a question and answer forum.

Saturday, April 26th's plans include a tour of Sultana related sites in Memphis and across the river in Arkansas to the Sultana's final resting place in Marion, AR ("if the river doesn't rise" says Mr. Potter). That night's banquet will be held at the Mud Island River Park Museum, and, Mr. Norman adds, "folks can buy discounted tickets to tour the museum prior to the meal.  One section is devoted to Miss. River disasters and there is, of course, reference to the Sultana!"

Download the registration form here.

More information will be made available in the next issue of The Sultana Remembered and on this web site.
